COLOSSUS OF RHODES

From your selected point, you’ll be driven to the entrance of the old harbor, atop tall columns, stand the two bronze deer - characteristic landmarks of the island. Continuing up the hillside to Monte Smith (The Acropolis of Rhodes city). VALLEY OF THE BUTTERFLIES

Your journey to the “Valley of the Batterflies” will take you along a beautiful, 20km (14,3mi) drive on the west coast of the island. RHODES OSTRICH FARM AND ZOO PARK

We continue our drive to “Rhodes Ostrich Farm and Zoo Park” This animal farm will delight both young and old. BEE MUSEUM

On the way back we visit the “Bee Museum” (the only Bee Museum in Greece) Discover the life circle of the bees and their caste system in transparent hives and learn everything about the honey. The various types, and its nutritional value. Free honey tasting and the traditional “melekounia” (traditional snack) which is made from honey, sesame seeds, almonds, cinnamon and orange. They also have different types of honey products as cosmetics

BACK TO THE STARTING POINT

Upon returning to Rhodes Town, you may choose to be dropped back to your hotel or back to your ship, or near the city gates of the Old Town for independent browsing. You would then be responsible for your own return to the ship on foot, which will be docked approximately a quarter mile away.
